We aren't hiring right now.
Hexaxia Technologies is founder-led, bootstrapped, and deliberately small. When we grow, we'll hire people who already know us. If you want to be on that shortlist, tell us who you are. We'll read every word.
Real work, not theatre.
Aaron Lamb and Jay Carney co-founded Hexaxia Technologies in 2025. Between them, 45 years of building, hardening, and running mission-critical systems for federal health, government, defense, pharma, telecom, and manufacturing.
Today that depth goes to business owners who deserve better IT. Managed services, fractional leadership, security architecture, automation, app development. Every engagement is founder-touched. That's a feature, not a stage we're trying to outgrow.
We grow when the work calls for it. Not when a sales target says so.
Who we'd want.
Built and run production systems
Not talked about them in a deck. Actually owned the pager.
Comfortable telling a client no
When a request will waste their money, you can say so, with the work to back it up.
Fix root causes, not layer workarounds
The second time you see the same bug, something structural changes.
Deep in at least one lane
Infrastructure, security, automation, systems engineering, or engineering leadership. Generalist-only is a harder fit here.
Small team. Direct lines.
Remote by default. Work from where you work best. Occasional in-person when the project needs it. No relocation, no ticket queues, no eight-layer approval chains.
Everyone on the team talks to clients. Everyone has skin in the outcome. If you want a desk between you and the customer, we're not the right shop.
Benefits, compensation, and role specifics are figured out at offer time, not on a careers page. We'd rather promise nothing we can't keep.
Pitch yourself.
We're not promising a role. We're promising we'll read it. If something fits now, we'll reply. If it fits later, we'll come back to you when the work calls for it.
What helps
- Specific systems you've owned, not tools you've touched
- Outcomes in numbers where you have them
- Links: GitHub, portfolio, technical writing, anything real
- Why Hexaxia specifically, not careers in general

Our approach and our team, in plain language.
